Blogging in learning support

Have been talking to Lynn Bhania who is starting to use blogs to support her students. In her own words:

“I have also introduced it my Foundation Degree students. These are a small group of teaching assistants who are doing the Foundation Degree in Learning Support. They are all mature women and have had a steep learning curve, not necessarily being very ICT confident - but are beginning to get to grips with it. They are contributing well to class discussion groups on StudyNet, but I now want them to do more blogging.

This afternoon they are doing formative presentations, so I am going to ask them to reflect on the experience in their blogs and begin to plot their Learning Journey regularly.”

Lynn’s links her own blog ito a community of blogging students. The community is starting to develop with students commenting on each others (and the tutor’s) posts. Lynn’s blog can also be found on the links in this blog (right side).
